WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT BISHOP MONKTON, BETWEEN RIPON AND HARROGATE.
The first thing that Louise and Dale told me when they contacted me was that at the wedding there will be a lot of children…. so they would like to go for a very laid back and relaxed style of wedding. And so it was!
The wedding day started in the beautiful countryside of North Yorkshire at a farm located on the way from Ripon to Harrogate, here the groom was getting ready with his sons and the best man. After I’d taken a few photos with them I headed to the bride’s house in Ripon to catch her preparations for that special day. The bride was there with her daughter, parents and a friend. It was a very relaxing time there…. until a camper van came to take her to the church!
Once at the church in Bishop Monkton the ceremony took on a very different aspect…for example the way the rings came to the couple. As I already said before that at this wedding the children had a special place and the preacher knew how to create it. He put the rigns inside a ball and he gave it to the children with some building materials. They had to build a canal to carry the rings from the entrance of the church up to the bride and groom. After this funny and enjoyable time finally they got married!
The celebration was at Bishop Monkton Village Hall, a venue near to the church, where the couple and their guests enjoyed afternoon tea, later a barbacue and finally the first dance, the whole event enlivened with a vintage singer and band.
This was a relaxing and lovely wedding where I could work with full liberty as Ripon and Harrogate documentary wedding photographer.
Thank you.
