PHOTOGRAPHY IN A NATURAL STYLE. IN CERTAIN LIGHT I CAN’T RESIST STOPPING TIME FOR THE PERSON I AM WITH
Being a photographer I carry a camera with me most of the time so that when the opportunity arises I can, for example, capture the type of portraits that I have posted below. These photographs were taken in natural light, in a relaxed atmosphere, where the subject had no prior preparation for the photograph. The outcome can sometimes be unpredictable but in this case I was pleased with the results.
I chose to produce these two informal portraits in black and white. The first was taken by capturing the light coming through a window of a restaurant in Leeds. The second one used light coming through a narrow alley in the center of Oxford.
As a wedding photographer I include portrait photography in this form. This gives the wedding reportage a much less static and more natural flowing style.
