BLACK & WHITE PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY.
Here is a new post about Portrait photography which was taken during one of my walks around Yorkshire Dales, more specifically at Kettlewell.
When I got to this village in the North of Yorkshire there were several groups of traditional dancers from the area. True to my profession of a documentary style photographer I had to record what I was seeing. You have to be ready to capture crucial moments as anything could happen at any point in time.
In this case, the dancer suddenly ran at me and I had to react quickly to adjust the camera before snapping the shutter. I like the result I achieved because with the focus adjusted I made I was able to isolate the background for his face stand out. The background is just blurred enough to suggest the street scene which provides a storyline for the portrait in the foreground.
